Chicwish: A Review

I love living in Perth but I don’t love the fact that there is quite a lack of choice when it comes to shopping for clothes (it also doesn’t help that I’m the fussiest clothes shopper on the planet). After a recent trip to Brisbane my eyes were even further opened to just how plagued Perth is with chain stores and extremely overpriced boutiques. For these reasons I rarely do any physical shopping these days and am almost constantly on the hunt for new online fashion stores that will satisfy my cravings. So I thought, why not start sharing my experiences with the rest of you?

One of my newest discoveries is Hong Kong based Chicwish.com. Not only was I very pleased with their vintage inspired, girly pieces but I was also impressed with the prices. I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and managed to purchase two dresses, a pair of shorts and two pairs of socks for little over $100.

Quality

From what I can tell so far, the items I purchased meet my expectations with quality. There are no obvious discrepancies between the photos on the website and the actual product, and in my opinion you do get what you pay for when shopping at Chicwish. Unfortunately I don't know how often I will wear the blue dress as it is quite a bit shorter than I expected and the waist band is too wide. One con I have to mention about Chicwish is the lack of sizes - all the pieces I purchased were "one size", so I can imagine a lot of people are unable to purchase something that fits them correctly.

Shipping

If you spend over $100 you qualify for free international shipping, but for all other orders shipping to Australia is $8 for standard registered post or $18 for express. The arrival time for me was just under two weeks (free shipping), which I was quite happy with.

Service and Communication

I’m a sucker for little personal details, so thought it was very sweet that my order came with a hand written card thanking me for my purchase! I was also sent email updates of my order status and everything was dispatched promptly after payment had been processed.

Will I Buy From Chicwish Again?

Definitely! I think this is a lovely cheap and cheerful (in a good way!) online store that I would happily return to for girly, inexpensive additions to my wardrobe.
