Recently
I heard about the online beauty store Sasa.com while trying to find
the least expensive way to get my hands on the Bioderma H2O make-up
remover. There really wasn’t a lot posted online about this
website when I ordered from them (I always like to do some
research!), so I was kind of going in blind and hoping for the best.
Sasa is an Asian beauty retailer which is likened to Sephora,
that sells a pretty decent range of beauty brands both in their
retail stores in Asia and to the rest of the world online. The
online store, however, is quite limited in the ranges it has
available for many of the international brands in stock. Sasa.com
also has a wide range of Asian beauty brands (as expected) and as I
love Asian beauty products I thought I might as well give Sasa a go.
So, here’s what I bought:
Bioderma
H2O makeup remover (US$30.60)
Jealousness
Assorted False Lashes (US$12.90)
Sasatinnie
Color Fusion Graduation Blush in 02 - Peach Orange (US$8.80)
Sasatinnie
Sweetie Hand Lotion in Cupcakes (US$3.10)
Sasatinnie
is their ‘house’ brand, which carries a range of very cutely
presented, low priced products. I just couldn’t resist the
Graduation Blush purely for how pretty it looked in the pan (silly I
know)! Luckily, it is actually a decent blush. It was the same deal with the Hand Lotion - I can’t
resist sweet foodie smells and this is a great staple to keep in my
handbag. To be honest I’m a little disappointed in the
Jealousness lashes as they’re not what I expected from the
pictures. They are all criss-crossy, which is not normally a
style I go for. For under $13 for 8 pairs, if they don’t
impress it will not be a great loss!
Oooo so pretty...
Oooo so pretty...
The
Bioderma H2O Sensibio (the Asian version of the Crealine, from what I
have read it is the same formula) is all the amazingness that I
expected. I can’t see myself going back to using make-up
removing wipes again after using this stuff. It removes make-up
(including eye make-up) so effortlessly and somehow doesn’t move it
around your face as you wipe it off. Magic, is all I can say.
I
placed my order on the 26th July and it arrived on the 15th August,
which is not too bad, BUT - my order took something like 8 business
days to be dispatched. I wasn’t really expecting this so it
was a tad annoying to be checking every couple of days to see that my
order was still being “packed”. Everything came packed
securely and was sent via registered post. Sasa have pretty
good shipping rates to Australia - standard shipping is $6 for orders
under $75 and free for orders over $75. They also have an
expedited shipping option for faster delivery - $15 for orders less
than $75, $8 for orders between $75 and $149.90 and free for orders
over $150. Their estimated delivery time to Australia is 7-14
business days, which was pretty spot on (mine arrived on the 14th
day).
Overall,
I probably would shop as Sasa.com again, however only if it was
something specific that was hard to find elsewhere (like the Bioderma
H2O, or Asian beauty brands, for example). If you're looking for Asian beauty products, this is definitely the site for you.
